Disneyland Soundtrack

So for some reason, I've been obsessing (lightly) about Disneyland. Part of it is that I really really wanna go again, and part of it is just enjoying the nostalgia of my past trips there. Its not like I've been there a lot, I could probably count the trips on the finger of one hand. I'm pretty sure its been 5 times, and the first one I have only the vaugest memories of since I was so young.

Part of it, is one trip in paticular that my grandparents lent our family thier motorhome, and we all went to Disneyland in it. I think we actually camped in the Disneyland parking lot. That was the last time I went with my Dad, and I think the last family vacation before my parents seperated and divorced.

Come to think of it, many of my obsessions hark back to a time when my childhood was happy. Basicly stuff I was into before the age of 7.

So, I've been doing things that I will feed my nostalgia. An idea I had was to make a soundtrack for Disneyland for the stuff I remember from my childhood trips. The main idea is to capture my experience of about 1978 or so, but later stuff would be OK too. My last visit was in 1991 or 92 I believe.

I want the music to be like I am walking through the park from land to land...

Here are some of the ideas I have for it:

* Main Street Electrical Parade Theme (Main Street, USA)

* Enchanted Tiki Room Theme (Adventure Land)

* Davy Crockett Theme (Frontier Land) [Don't know if this music is in the park]

* Yo Ho A Pirate's Life for Me (New Orleans Square)

* Grim Grinning Ghosts (New Orleans Square)

* Something from the Bear Country Jamboree (Bear Country)

* It's a Small World (Fantasyland)

* Miracles from Molecules (Tomorrowland)

* When you wish upon a Star (The Fireworks show at the end)


Does anyone else remember any music from the park that would be good? Or if you have any of these songs in a digital format, sending them my way would be cool. I already have Miracles from Molecules, the song at the end of Adventures Through Innerspace on CD since I joined the AtomMobiles.com fan club.

I have the main street electrical parade, tiki room, davy crockett, pirates of the carribbean, its a small world, and when you wish upon a star. (thanks to The Music of Disney: A Legacy in Song boxed set ;)) When I get back to school, I'll toss 'em up somewhere for you or something :)

I also have meet me down on main street, which I have heard a few times when walking down Main Street USA, if you want that one as well.

It's ironic that you should be listening to Sister Golden Hair while writing that post, cuz that song is sort of like my personal soundtrack, if life had such things. If life were like Ally McBeal. LOL.

Did you know that you can buy CDs of such music (you pick the tracks) at Disney World? I forget what it's called, but it's in Downtown Disney. Or was when I worked there in 1999. I know you're from the left coast, so that probably doesn't help much. Sah-wee.
