Nov. 1st, 2006 01:04 pmOn the Celtic Calendar, Samhain (Nov 1) is the begining of the year. I had a feeling that this year's Samhain would be a turning point in my life.
Today, I found out (unofficially) that I am approved for this low-income apartment that I have been trying to get into. The Housing Authority will be assisting me with the rent. The unofficial word is that the apartment will be ready in two weeks.
In other news, I have an appointment later today with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation to start the process of maybe finding work for me.
The original motivation was that I could not affrod the cheapest of apartments on my social security alone. But even though I am getting in this assisted housing, I think it would be good for me to go forward with this. But the pressure is kind of off, so I can hold out for work I really want to do.

ssaphire_chick she tracked me down in Second Life a few months ago, and have been in touch that way. We have been friends for a long time, but something came over me the other week, and I made a move. I never did before, because I thought she really wouldn't be interested, but I got some signals that my advances would not be unwelcome, and I went for it. At first I felt maybe it was just my lonliness, so I slowed things down a bit, and decided to see if I really liked her for her. Turns out I do. Lots.
