My Amazing Boy

So I am sitting at the playgrounq writing this on my palm, while Conor is swinging on the swing unassisted. This is a big deal as I have never seen it before. Today is the first time I don't have to push him. He is becoming so confident.

The other day, he found my Go Club box and asked to play go with me. I found that he still rememberd how to play. I gave him a 5 stone handicap, and he beat me pretty handily on a 9x9 board. Instead of just capturing, I was able to teach him about territory. I hope he continues to want to play with me.

Another new thing with Conor is that he wants to be a tree climber. He discovered he could do it yesterday. Ostensibly, today's outing was to find trees to climb. But the allure of playground equipment is too much.

Perhaps I spoke too soon. he is eyeing the trees right now. Gonna go help. Gods I love being a Dad.
