Jun. 15th, 2012 02:05 amWell my friend
farmslutdvda mentioned to me the time before last I was considering moving back to California that my dating and social opportunities in Wyoming was like electrons in a Hydrogen Atom. Here in Stockton, I would be like an electron in Californium. So, it has been like that. I have been meeting people and making dates and I have been a very dense atom running into lots of particles. Its been a lot of fun, but honestly.. SHIT JUST GOT SERIOUS.
I had a second date with a woman today, and we planned a whole day together. We were going to start at Noon with a picnic at Micke's Grove but it was her idea to move things to 10:00 so I could do some food shopping and have food in my house. So grocery shopping first. Then we got stuff for the picnic and went to Micke's Grove. We ate lunch then went to the Japanese Gardens, which she had never seen. Then to the zoo, where she had never been and she hand fed some Lorikeets.
Then we came home for a bit and watched our favorite Anime. Well my favorite Anime one she likes a lot too. (I just asked its in her top two) Then it was off to the Dojo for Aikido. She just watched tonight but she thought it looked like a lot of fun so she will be joining me on the mat later. After training, I took her out for Japanese food. She loved it.
Then it was home again for well we were going to watch some anime but we never got around to it.
We have decided to go steady and since this is the 21st century, we have updated our relationship status on our social networking sites. This is something I have never done before and I am all giddy with new-relationship-energy.
I know I skipped ahead and did not mention anything about our wonderful first date. I will just tell this one part of it that I think won her heart.
The night before planning the date in IM when I finally carted myself off to bed I told her "Oyasumi nasai" and she responded "Oyasumi". On the date at Starbucks, she asked me if I spoke Japanese. I told her I had a very limited vocabulary, mostly specialized terms from Watching Sumo, Training in Aikido, and Playing Go.
"Oh you play Go?"
"I do. Do you play?"
"I LOVE Go."
(and here comes Zen the smooth operator) "Well, I just happen to have this small go set in my backpack here, let's play."
I am so incredibly happy and feel very lucky to have met Meagan. We have a lot in common and it will be fun to see where this leads.
