Weird Powers of the mind
Oct. 11th, 2006 08:28 pmHearing about the nuke test in N. Korea, got me to thinking of this old computer program I had called NUKENY. It was a simulation of a nuclear attack on the state of New York, using what was at the time medium sized warheads that the soviets had. In short, with a small attack with medium sized warheads, the entire state gets covered with nuclear destruction. I think it did this either in CGA or EGA graphics. At the end, for comparison they showed the effects of a bomb the size used on Hiroshima, and it was by comparison miniscule.
I was wondering if there was something like around today. Then I started reading my freinds page. About 5 minutes into it, I followed a link to a comic in a friend's journal, and in the comments was an offtopic link to this:

Which is precisely what I was thinking about.
Too weird. Is it a weird prescience, or just coincidence? I don't know if I really believe in coincidence, but then again, I am sure this kind of thing happens all the time. I wish I could use my mighty mind powers to land a new place to live.
