Money Dream
Sep. 5th, 2005 11:35 amI had a fun dream this morning: I dreamt that all my money woes were over, and we had won the "big money" and could do just about anything we wanted.
Funnily enough, in my dream I did practical things first, like paying the rent for the rest of the lease, and getting a new car and a house. Paying off the two debts we have (student loan and an old closed credit card).
I did fun stuff too, but even that was a bit restrained. I bought all the comics that have been saved for me at the comic shop, and all the trade paperbacks I wanted. I also bought two lightsabers on ebay.
But the best part of the dream was the feeling I had in the absence of worry. Money worries probably take up much more attention than is healthy. I know that me feeling that "only if I had a million dollars" my life would be fine is really a falsehood. Its my desire to have things be different than how they are that leads to this small suffering. I can still find contentment in my financial situation, but gods, wouldn't it be nice?
