Jun. 28th, 2003 08:41 pmWell, two days of driving behind me, and I am settling into my home away from home, Sheridan, WY. This is where my wife, ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
keltgrrl grew up, and her parents still live. So we come out every year to see them.
We arrived Thursday, after I hauled patootie for 12 hours from Wendover, NV (right next to the border of Utah). Yesterday, I spent resting and reccuperating.
Today we went to a bluegrass festival. They had a tent with play equipment for the kids, and Conor stayed there most of the day. I had to yell at some kids who were playing too rough with Conor, and started hitting. Conor got really upset, but I think it was because Daddy was yelling, not that he got hurt. I don't think he realized that I was not yelling at him. A hug fixed everything though. I guess there was another altercation but I did not see that one.
We saw one of our favorite bands, Clumsy Lovers perform and headed home, as Conor had a very full day and was very done.
We stopped at a Hardee's and got our favorite burger, their mushroom swiss burger that we can't get at the Carl's Jr.'s in California. It was yummilicious.
I don't think there is much more planned this week, so I will get to relax on my vacation. We will be driving again pretty soon though to go to Maedb's sister's house in Sioux Falls, SD. Another long drive. Yipee. At least on this drive, Maedb's mom will be riding with us and can help with the driving, so I won't have to do it all myself like I had to from California to Wyoming.
