Not pissed no more, but pissed all over again.

So in yesterday's entry, I bemoaned missing TNN's import of Takeshi's Castle, "Most Extreme Elimination Challenge". Well I caught the repeat today. Now I am pissed for a different reason.

There was no attempt to translate the show for American audiences, they simply made shit up instead. Giving obviously fake (western) names to the hosts and contestants. Its like one of those high-school video projects where you dub a new script over an old movie.

So instead of letting the show work its own charm, its a half-hour of potty-humor and bad dubs.

Its not really an import of Takeshi's Castle, its a whole new show that just uses selected video from Takeshi's Castle.

Now I need to find boot-leg fan-subbed versions of the orignal show...
